First Step in Handling Spills on Carpet

- Don't Panic! -
Immediately blot the spill using a whole roll of toilet paper.

Step on the whole roll over the spill for at least 30 seconds. It will soak up about 85% of the spill

Flip the roll over and do the same thing. Tear off what has been absorbed and throw away

Repeat until you have no more moisture. 

This is the FIRST step. Do not put more liquids (spotters, water, baking soda, etc.) on a spill until you have done the T.P.T. (Toilet Paper Trick).
